Shanthakumar Bannirchelvam

Shanthakumar has advised companies in the Infrastructure, property, technology and medical sectors on strategy and capital raising in Australia, Asia, Europe and the Middle East. He has also previously worked in corporate law in Sydney and London with Herbert Smith Freehills, the United Nations Economic and Social Council in New York and served as an Infantry Officer in the Singapore Armed Forces. Shanthakumar is admitted to practice in the Supreme Court of NSW and holds a Bachelor of Economics and Bachelor of Laws from the University of Sydney.

Nikhil Gullapalli

“I am passionate about empowering individuals, businesses and communities in reaching their full potential”

Nikhil has advised corporates in the infrastructure, healthcare, renewable energy and utilities sectors across financial markets, capital raising and M&A. In particular Nikhil has extensive experience in structuring financial solutions and exotic derivatives to meet unique client needs. This diverse background inspired Nikhil to become active in impact investing and developing outcome-based financing solutions to improve public health infrastructure. Nikhil holds a Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Commerce from the Monash University.

Vanessa Picker

“I believe that impact investing will play a crucial role in solving some of the most intractable social problems”

Vanessa has worked in various strategic policy roles for State and Federal government departments in Australia. She worked for the Department of Premier and Cabinet (NSW), as a member of the team responsible for bringing at least two social impact investment transactions to market per year. Prior to that, she was a Policy Officer at the Department of Social Services (Australian Government). She contributed to various policy design projects during the implementation phase of the $20.7million Investment Approach to Welfare. Vanessa is pursuing a DPhil(PhD) at the University of Oxford. She holds an MSc in Evidence-Based Social Intervention and Policy Evaluation (University of Oxford);Master of Politics and Public Policy(Macquarie University, Australia); and a Bachelor of Innovation and Entrepreneurship (University of Adelaide, Australia).

Kelsey Ryan

Kelsey was previously a commercial solicitor in Melbourne, where she advised corporates in the healthcare and infrastructure sectors on financial structuring and asset management. Most recently she was a legal consultant for the United Nations in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. Her diverse background has resulted in a strong interest and belief in impact investing, bringing together technical legal skills and social impact. Kelsey holds a Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Laws from Monash University and is admitted to practice in the Supreme Court of Victoria.

Ankit Gupta

Ankit was previously a strategic management consultant at PwC where he advised multilateral organizations on strategic initiatives. He also has experience at a public sector think-tank where he produced research that was cited by the Federal Reserve. He holds a BA in Economics, International Relations, and Psychology from Lehigh University.

Sabrina Dong

“Impactful change is made step by step, project by project. I believe that the key to making a difference is giving people the power to act upon their ideas to better their communities.”

Sabrina has previously worked at financial institutions including UBS and Standish Management, in financial planning and analysis as well as wealth management. Sabrina has always been inspired by the intersection of social welfare, business, and law. Sabrina majored in Business Administration at UC Berkeley Haas concentrating on the operation of social welfare organizations.
